Heat wave forecast to sweep western, north-western parts of Romania

The National Weather Administration (ANM) on Sunday issued code yellow heat wave advisory for the western and north-western parts of Romania valid on Monday.

The meteorologists are expecting temperatures in the range of 35-37 degrees Celsius, with the discomfort index expected to exceed the critical value of 80.

ANM mentioned that temperatures of 35-36 degrees Celsius should be recorded in other parts of the country as well, but on smaller areas.

The forecasters are predicting the heat wave to intensify and expand to engulf the entire country on July 7-8. AGERPRES
