A minimum 100 euro extraordinary contribution to self-employed

Deputy Minister of Social Security Anastasios Petropoulos  pre-announced an extraordinary contribution of at least 100 euros in order to support the insurance fund, which is on the brink of bankruptcy recording a deficit of 530 million euro.

“The contribution will be mandatory for a given period and it’s one of the solutions we’ve come up in order to find resources for the pension funds,” he said.

However, what he said is in fact included in the third Memorandum that government has to implement.

According to Eleftheros Typos newspaper, the contributions to be imposed to self-employed will be calculated based on their income.

However, the minimum contribution would be at 100 euro, even if the company has zero profit due to damages!
