Turkish wrestlers score gold at European championships

Two Turkish wrestlers have clinched gold medals at the 2016 FILA Wrestling European Championships held in the Latvian capital of Riga.        

Turkey's Yasemin Adar won a gold medal in the women's 75-kilogram freestyle category by beating Russia's Alena Starodubtseva 7-0.    
   
Another Turkish wrestler, Soner Demirta?, also struck gold on March 10 in the men's 74-kilogram freestyle category.        

Demirta? beat Azerbaijani rival Jabrayil Hasanov 2-1 at the Arena Riga.
