Slavoljub Muslin named new Serbia head coach

STARA PAZOVA - Seasoned coach Slavoljub Muslin has been named the new head coach of the Serbian national football team, the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) has announced.

The FSS Urgent Affairs Committee on Thursday appointed Muslin as the successor to Radovan Curcic.

The contract to be signed with Muslin will remain in effect until the end of the upcoming qualifications for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but may be extended automatically if the senior national team reaches the qualification play-offs or the World Cup itself, the FSS said in a statement.

The former Red Star Belgrade coach will make his debut against Cyprus in Uzice on May 25.

Muslin has also coached Pau, Bordeaux, Lens, Le Mans, Wydad Casablanca, Levski Sofia, Metalurh Donetsk, Lokomotiv Moscow, Lokeren, Khimki, Dinamo Minsk, Anorthosis Famagusta,
