MAE endorses declaration of HR Federica Mogherini on illegal annexation of Crimean Peninsula

The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) supports and joins the declaration of High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (HR) Federica Mogherini regarding the illegal annexation of the Crimean Peninsula, according to a press release sent on Saturday.

"Four years after the illegal annexation by the Russian Federation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Romania strongly condemns, once again, the violation of international law principles and norms. On this occasion, Romania reconfirms its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as its non-recognition position of the illegal annexation," reads the MAE release.
