Vucic: Challenges of conserving planet growing steadily

DUBAI - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who is attending the COP28 climate change summit in Dubai, said on Friday the event was being held against the backdrop of global conflicts and turmoil while the challenges of conserving the planet, the only home to all humans, were growing steadily.

In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account, Vucic thanked UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres for inviting him to attend what he noted was the most significant and, to date, the largest conference of world leaders on climate change.

"Serbia approaches these issues in a serious manner and it is prepared to contribute to all initiatives aimed at efficient energy transition, greater and more even inclusiveness in climate change management as well as responsible actions in fossil fuel use and carbon emission," Vucic added. ...
