Vucic: Talks underway with major German company about investment in Vranje

VRANJE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday negotiations were underway with a major German company about a 200 mln euro plus investment in Vranje, southern Serbia, that would create around 1,500 jobs.

"We are in talks with a major German investor. I cannot reveal the name yet because we are in talks about a huge investment that will be absolutely the biggest in Vranje to date and worth over 200 mln euros, and employ around 1,500 workers," Vucic said during a visit to the maternity ward of the Vranje general hospital, which is being renovated.

German companies always come to Serbia to stay for a long time, he said, noting that the project would be a greenfield investment.
