Woman dies when car plunges into Patras port

The body of a woman was salvaged Sunday from a car that plunged into the city of Patras' northern port, Greece's coast guard says.

Passers-by saw the car hit the water and called the coast guard. A private diver alerted the authorities to the woman's presence inside the vehicle. 

The unnamed woman's body will be examined by a coroner later Sunday. The coast guard is investigating.
