Turkey's Changemakers: Social startup Yuvarla increases individual donations
Yuvarla (Round Up) has been named the seventh Changemaker of the 7th season of the Sabanci Foundation Turkey's Changemakers Program.
Through Yuvarla, a small change when you shop online, which may not mean much to you, is transferred directly to civil society organizations a donation. There are two civil society volunteers behind this system: Emre Danaci and Erdi Yerebasmaz.
Turkey's TAV wins $1.1 bln airport project in Bahrain
Turkey's TAV Construction has been awarded the project to build a passenger terminal at Bahrain International Airport, which is undergoing a $1.1 billion upgrade, along with the Dubai-listed Arabtec.
Located on a 220,000-square-meter area, the new terminal will increase airport capacity from 4 million to 14 million annually, said TAV in a written statement on Jan. 25.
Bulgaria's Chief Mufti Reelected amid Claims of 'Illegitimacy'
Mustafa Hadzhi was reelected on Sunday as Chief Mufti of Bulgaria, at a conference at a session of the country's Muslim officials where he was the single candidate.
