Free Influenza Vaccines For Over 120,000 People Over 65

Free influenza vaccines for people over 65 will be available in the second half of October. This was announced by the state health inspector Dr. Angel Kunchev in the studio of BNT's Morning Block. Four strains of the virus will attack us this winter. Our country is one of the last places in Europe in the number of vaccines purchased.

Convicted robber escapes police custody

Police officers launched a manhunt on Monday evening to locate a man who escaped from the Exarcheia police station in central Athens, where he was being held.

The 39-year-old escapee, identified as a Greek national, had three robbery convictions.

According to information, the suspect asked to go to the toilet and, while being taken, pushed the officer aside and fled. 

Man reportedly confesses to drug user's killing in Ambelokipi

A 48-year-old man reportedly confessed to killing a 33-year-old man outside the metro station of Ampelokipi on Monday morning, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported, citing police sources.

The suspect, identified as a drug user, went to the local police station after the killing and claimed he had been robbed, without providing further details.

Race against time

The euphoria among Greek business circles after July's election is beginning to spread abroad, albeit slowly. However, it will take a systematic and coordinated effort to convince serious investors and funds to put their money on our country. Greece's bankruptcy and crisis are still very fresh in the minds of investors.
