Serbia, Denmark sign 2014 military cooperation plan

BELGRADE - Officials of the Defence Ministries of Serbia and Denmark inked a plan on bilateral military cooperation for 2014, the Serbian ministry has released in a statement.

The plan was signed during a visit of a delegation of the Serbian Ministry of Defence to Denmark as part of regular bilateral defence consultations.

The Serbian delegation was headed by Colonel Milan Konjikovac, who thanked his colleagues on cooperation and Denmark's investments which have contributed to the strengthening of the defence system and implementation of all necessary reforms.

Brigadier General Claus-Hansen said that Serbia's European perspective is very encouraging, adding that Serbia will remain a significant partner for Denmark in the Balkans.

Claus-Hansen expressed hope that in the forthcoming period Serbia will define strategic projects with visible effects of the implementation and the Kingdom of Denmark will try to find new mechanisms for funding bilateral activities in the field of defence, reads a statement on the Defence Ministry's website.
