Istanbul Jazz Festival opens with ceremony
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the 24th Istanbul Jazz Festival kicked off on July 4 with an opening ceremony and concerts at the Consulate General of Austria and the Austrian Cultural Office Garden.

Strong festival with strong sponsors
Thanks to the media, I don't feel homesick at all in London where I am and have extended my business trip a couple of days due to the holidays. The TV in a café where we were sitting had the BBC on and the subtitles on the screen were about police attacking, with plastic bullets, the LGBT Pride march at Istanbul's Taksim.

Istanbul Music Festival opens with 'Unusual' theme
The 45th Istanbul Music Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), kicked off on May 29 with the opening ceremony and concert at the Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center.
This year's festival is taking place under the theme "Unusual" and will continue until June 21, with 29 concerts in 15 different venues.

Turkish pavilion opens in Venice
ÇIN, a new work by Cevdet Erek, has gone on view at the Pavilion of Turkey at the 57th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia.
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the Pavilion of Turkey is located at Sale d'Armi, Arsenale, one of the main exhibition venues of La Biennale di Venezia. The installation can be seen until Nov. 26.

Istanbul Theater Festival to be held annually
Currently in its 45th year, the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV) is taking a step forward to realize a dream project: Starting in 2017, the Istanbul Theater Festival returns to an annual cycle after 15 years of being held biennially.

Istanbul Film Festival kicks off
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the Istanbul Film Festival's 36th edition kicked off with an opening gala on April 4. The opening gala brought the stars and distinguished figures of Turkish cinema together at TİM Show Center where Cinema Honorary Awards and plaques were presented.

Songs to speak at Istanbul Jazz Festival
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the 24th Istanbul Jazz Festival will host leading names and new discoveries from the world of jazz, as well as stars of contemporary music. Cevdet Erek to represent Turkey in Venice
"ÇIN," a new work by Cevdet Erek, will be presented at the Pavilion of Turkey at the 57th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia to be held from May 13 to Nov. 26.
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the Turkish pavilion is located at Sale d'Armi, Arsenale, in the main venue of the biennale.
