Bulgarian President Calls for Higher Defense Budget
Bulgaria's budget for defense is not sufficient, believes the country's President Rosen Plevneliev.
"Substantial additional funds will be needed for the Ministry of Defense's budget in order to conduct the modernization of the army. As it stands, the resources are not enough", Plevneliev commented during a ceremony to promote a number of high-ranking military officials.

KRALJEVO -- A 43-year old man from Kraljevo employed as a professional soldier by the Serbian Army, "has committed suicide,"RTS said it had been able to confirm.
The man has been identified as Miodrag Petrović. The Ministry of Defense confirmed the death of the solider, but not that the case was a suicide.

MPs passes Law on Ministries, amendments to Law on Governmen
BELGRADE – The Serbian parliament adopted the bill on Ministries and amendments to the Law on Government on Saturday.
These two pieces of legislation the election of the new Serbian government is conditional on received 185 votes in favor and 18 against.
Russia Continues 'Provocations' over Black Sea, Says DefMin
Russian military aircraft are still committed to provocations over the Black Sea, Bulgaria's Defense Minister Angel Naydenov has warned.
In an interview for the newspaper 24 Chasa, Naydenov has asserted that no violation of Bulgarian airspace could be observed. He has hinted, however, that the purpose of their flights is more than clear to his Ministry.

Citizens trust KFOR most
BELGRADE - Serbian Defense Minister Nebojsa Rodic said on Thursday that Serbia's citizens place the greatest trust in KFOR when compared to other international actors present in Kosovo-Metohija, and that by maintaining its status-neutral position, NATO will back the implementation of the Brussels agreement.
