Prime Minister Victor Ponta, the head of the Social Democrat Party (PSD) reviewed on Monday the achievements of his governing over the past three years since the USL (Social Liberal Union, PSD's alliance with the National Liberal Party PNL) toppled the Democrat Liberal Party (PDL) government led by then PM Mihai Razvan Ungureanu.

Prime minister Victor Ponta, chairman of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), declared himself proud that he is one of the 235 parliamentarians who have voted three years ago the censor motion that led to the Ungureanu Government's fall.

The National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) prosecutors have put Radu Pricop, the son-in-law of former president Traian Basescu, under a 60-day judiciary surveillance, as he is accused of accessory to blackmail in a criminal file regarding Sergiu Lucinschi, the son of former Moldovan president, Petru Lucinschi.
