Milena Depolo wins award at festival in Sweden

BELGRADE - Young Serbian playwright and scriptwriter Milena Depolo has won the Best Women Achievement Award for her script for the film Kad ljubav zakasni, flim production company Kosutnjak film stated on Thursday.

The festival was entitled the Balkan New Film Festival and took place between February 14 and 16. It included the latest films from the Balkans.

Depolo took inspiration from Milica Jakovljevic's novel Samac u braku when she wrote the script.

Milos Bikovic and Brankica Sebastijanovic play the two main protagonists, the production company says, adding that the screening caused huge interest among the audience in Stockholm.

This romantic story was directed by Ivan Stefanovic and premiered in Belgrade in early January. There are plans to make a TV series based on it.
