3 students in final of competition in oil system management

BELGRADE - Three Belgrade students have reached the final of the largest world competition in oil system management, which will be held in Budapest on May 29.

Uros Denic, Dusan ilic and Svetislav Mijatovic achieved excellent results in the international online studen competition Freshhh, where students get to work in teams to build a new oil corporation and make decisions regarding research and development projects.

Ilic told Tanjug they had learned about the competition on the Internet.

"During the qualifications, involving 1,570 teams, our goal was to get maximum profit by managing an oil refinery and trading in petroleum products," he said in a written statement.

"During the second round, with the 40 best teams, we strategically manages a chain of petrol stations on a market consisting of 5 teams with the goal being to get the maximum return on the overall funds, after which we qualified for the final in Budapest as the 3rd team out the total of 5," he explained.

Denic is a senior student of the Faculty of Construction in Belgrade and a junior of the Megatrend University Business School.

Ilic is a senior of the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.

Mijatovic completed the Faculty of Physics in Belgrade and is currently studying to get an international master's degree in quantitative finance.

The competition was established 7 years ago. It includes 3,500 teams from 70 countries and 250 universities.
