MP Hrebenciuc: I'm an influence peddling suspect

The Social-Democrat deputy, Viorel Hrebenciuc said on Monday, when exiting the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) that he is a suspect in a new criminal file and the accusation against him is of influence peddling.

"It's the file no. 344/2014, in which I'm a suspect currently. It's the same issue with the influence peddling, I have no other details", Hrebenciuc told the reporters, adding that "there is no business there".

He specified he was summoned to be informed on the anti-corruption prosecutors' accusations.

When asked whether he took into consideration to resign, he said "Never thought about that".

As referring to the fact that he is prosecuted in three dossiers, the PSD MP said it wasn't his wish, and as regards the possibility that he could have been recorded, he said he has been watched all his life.AGERPRES
