Truck explodes in parking lot of Ankara hospital, injuring one
One person was injured after a truck containing medical equipment exploded in the parking lot of Ankara Universityâs Ibn-i Sina Hospital on Oct. 23.
The truck was parked in front of the emergency unit of the hospital when the explosion took place. Initial reports said a worker carrying medical equipment to the hospital was injured. The explosion was triggered by a barrel containing a chemical substance that fell on the floor.
The blast reportedly caused panic among emergency workers, patients and their relatives.
Firefighters and members of Turkeyâs emergency relief agency, AFAD, were dispatched to the area.
