The exhibition was created as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Great War in SANU, and the support in the form of documents and archive materials came from the Association of War Volunteers 1912-1918, their descendants and admirers.

The exhibition pays tribute to the heroines including devoted nurses and female fighters who earned most significant medals and recognitions for their courage.
