Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday announced he asked the Foreign Affairs Minister, Titus Corlatean, to summon to Bucharest the ambassadors, consuls and presidents of the polling stations from France, Germany, Great Britain, Austria and the Republic of Moldova to be instructed so that situations similar to those happened on Sunday when Romanian nationals couldn't cast their vote would not happen again, otherwise the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) will have to assume responsibility.

"I have asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs and on Friday he will summon to Bucharest all the ambassadors, consuls and presidents of polling stations in France, Germany and Great Britain, Austria and Moldova so that the instructing on the BEC [Central Electoral Bureau] decisions be made very clearly and, furthermore, until Friday I asked the minister and all the leadership staff if there is notice of, and I believe there will be, improper activities to replace the presidents of the polling stations and ensure all the needed staff so that all that has not functioned yesterday will run impeccably on the 16th", said Ponta in a press statement at the MAE headquarters in the presence of Minister Titus Corlatean.
