Kosir opens 29. Fair of Winter Sports Equipment

BELGRADE - Slovenian former skier Jure Kosir opened on Thursday the 29th International Fair of Winter Sports Equipment, Tourism and Recreation EXPO-ZIM 2014, where visitors will have the opportunity to buy new and replace old sports equipment.

In addition to sports equipment, fair visitors will be able to learn about the latest offers and prices of tourist packages at the start of the winter season.

"I want to thank the organizers for inviting me, I am glad to be here again after four years. Everything is well-organized and I like it very much," he said at the opening ceremony.

Kossir is one of Slovenia's most successful skiers. He won the bronze medal in the men's slalom event at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, and finished second in giant slalom and third in slalom in the 1994-95 World Cup standings.

The fair will be open until November 30.
