Secretary of state for global Affairs, Ms. Carmen Liliana Burlacu has participated on December 3-4 in London in the international conference on Afghanistan, jointly organised by Great Britain and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, a press release by the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) informed Agerpres on Thursday night.

The reunion was an opportunity of dialogue between the new Afghan Administration, set in place after the 2014 elections, and the international community.

"The new national unity government of Afghanistan has confirmed it will observe the commitments assumed on the occasion of the Tokyo Conference for Development (July 2012) and presented the reforms it has in view. Education, population's access to health care services, infrastructure projects in energy, transports and in the exploitation of the natural resources, in particular energy and ores, are among the priority development fields," the MAE release says.

During the conference, the international community's representatives highlighted their decision to further on with the assistance and support to the Afghan authorities in their effort to make progresses on the path of democracy.

Likewise, adds MAE, in the conference's sidelines reunions of the civil society and the private sector took place, where progresses recorded in the last years and the concrete development outlooks for the years to come, in Afghanistan, were presented.AGERPRES
