Burkina Faso minister confirms French, American troops involvement in searches of abducted Romanian

French and American troops are helping the army of Burkina Faso in the search operations for a Romanian hostage, Burkinabe Interior Security Minister Auguste Denise Barry declared on Tuesday, as quoted by AFP.

The French and American have drones based in neighbouring Niger, operating over the Sahel.

The minister also mentioned the "permanent contact" with the authorities of Niger and Mali; he quoted allegations about the armed hijackers first fleeing to Mali, then to Niger.
