Committee for Constitution's review reunites on Tuesday to address amendments

The joint Committee of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate for the review of the Constitution reunites on Tuesday in session, as of 13:00 hours, at the Upper House's headquarters.

According to a press release sent AGERPRES on Monday, the agenda of the joint reunion will include an info regarding the amendments brought to the legislative proposition of review of Romania's Constitution in accordance with the Decision of the Constitutional Court No. 80/2014 and the Venice Commission's opinion.

These amendments were submitted until April 15 and were also advanced for a viewpoint to the Committee's Scientific Council.

Likewise, the agenda of Tuesday's meeting includes a topic regarding the drafting and endorsement of the cancellation amendments of the provisions declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court "since they violate the limits of the review as foreseen by Art. 152 of the Constitution."AGERPRES
