J. Dijsselbloem does not see 3rd support package for Greece

Dutch Eurogroup Chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem sees no third support package for Greece, according to his interview on Dutch site, Volkskrant, on Monday. He made it clear that a Grexit was not discussed during the Eurogroup meeting in Riga, Latvia, on Friday, however he said that the foreign finance ministers are becoming more pessimistic concerning Greece’s rescue. He underlined that concern is escalating by the day.

He confirmed that he spoke with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Monday, overlooking Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis, in an effort to put an end to the deadlock plaguing the Greek government.

Financial Times reports that Dijsselbloem had also called Tsipras from Riga in order to reduce tension between the eurozone finance ministers following Friday’s meeting.
