Name’s Bird. James Bird: Pigeon arrested for espionage

A pigeon was… arrested in India for spying on behalf of Pakistan.

The bird was caught on Thursday when it was discovered that it bore a sealed message. The message was written in part in Urdu, Pakistan’s official language, while it also contained a Pakistani telephone number. The pigeon was discovered by a 14 year-old boy in a village four km from the border. He quickly took it to a nearby police station where the pigeon was scanned through the X-Ray machine.

Even though police discovered that nothing suspicious was found, the bird is being held on the charge of espionage. The area that it was discovered in is Kashmir, an area contested by the two countries.
