Minister-delegate Ciamba, Hungarian counterpart discuss informal Summit of Sibiu prospects

Minister-delegate for European Affairs George Ciamba met in Bucharest on Monday with Hungarian Minister of the Prime Minister's Office Gergely Gulyas, European Affairs coordinator, and discussed the prospects of the informal Summit that will take place in Sibiu in May.

During the meeting, the two had an opinion exchange on a series of topical files on the European agenda, such as the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework, the future of the cohesion policy, the enlargement policy, aspects of the institutional agenda, highlighting, at the same time, the significance of cohesion as a common European value and the need to promote a unity message in Europe, including on the occasion of the upcoming informal European Summit in Sibiu, reads a Foreign Ministry release sent to AGERPRES.

The two European Affairs ministers also had an opinion exchange on Europe's future, including from the perspective of the elections to the European Parliament, which will take place in May this year, the release points out.
