Code Yellow in Northern Bulgaria over Gale-Force Winds

Strong winds are expected throughout Northern Bulgaria, with authorities having issued a Code Yellow warning for 14 regions.

The national weather service says winds at a speed of 15-20 m/s, with gusts of up to 22 m/s, are likely to hit the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Targovishte, Silistra, Razgrad, Shumen, Varna, and Dobrich.

Greece businesses 2nd last in using internet to sell products

Greece is second last among EU companies that use the internet to sell their products and services, according to data released by Digital Agenda Scoreboard. Bulgaria is last on the list with 5.84 percent of businesses using the internet, compared to Greece’s 6.17 percent in 2015.

Until now the text was only available in Parliament's secret registry, which was not accessible to the general public but only to lawmakers.

Bulgarian Police, Frontex Detain 24 Illegal Migrants, Two Smugglers

Officers from the regional directorate of border police in Dragoman and Frontex officials detained 24 illegal immigrants near the Bulgarian-Serbian border.

The authorities also detained two Bulgarian citizens, one of them with a criminal record, who were transporting the migrants.

Bulgaria's Parliamentary Legal Affairs Committee Approves IntMin Reform

Bulgaria's parliamentary legal affairs committee approved at first reading on Wednesday the draft amendments to the Interior Ministry Act.

The amendments were narrowly approved as ten MPs voted in favour, two were against, while seven lawmakers abstained.

Last week, the draft was rejected by the internal security and public order parliamentary committee.
