Senate Speaker begins efforts for suspension of Romania's President
Senate Speaker Calin Popescu-Tariceanu on Monday announced that he took the first steps into suspending from office the incumbent head of state.
'We began efforts to present the leaders of the parliamentary groups of the Senate and the Deputies' Chamber the initiative on suspending Romania's President,' Tariceanu told a press conference at the Palace of Parliament.

US, Ukraine to Hold Naval Drills in Black Sea
Twelve warships from NATO and other countries are to stage naval exercises, known as Sea Breeze, in the Black Sea.
Hosted by Ukraine, the drills are led by the US.
The maneuvers are held on an annual basis (and have been since 1997) and are not related to the developments in Ukraine and its standoff with Russia.

'The locations will be made known at the right time, when the concrete offer of Romania is announced', the Romanian ambassador said.
