Mid-air collision cancels air show in north-eastern Romania
Bucharest, Aug 4 /Agerpres/ - The "Suceava Air Show" has been canceled after two small aircraft collided in mid-air early on Saturday at Fratautii Vechi (north-eastern Romania) and one of the pilots died, the prefect of Suceava, Mirela Adomnicai, told AGERPRES.
The prefect said that, following the crash, prosecutors are investigating the scene.

Bulgaria Seizes 1.75 Million illegal Cigarettes at Border with Romania
SOFIA, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Bulgarian authorities at Silistra checkpoint near the border with Romania have captured 1.75 million undeclared cigarettes, officials said here on Friday.
The cigarettes were found on Thursday evening in a Romania-registered truck when it attempted to leave Bulgaria, the Ministry of Interior and the National Customs Agency (NCA) said in a joint statement.

Over 5.2 mln arrivals in Romania's tourist accommodation units in H1
More than 5.2 million arrivals were registered in the Romanian tourist accommodation units in the first six months of this year, up 4.1pct compared to the same period of last year, 75.8pct being arrivals of Romanian tourists, according to the data released by the National Institute of Statistics on Friday for AGERPRES.
