Over 500 Indicted For War Crimes in Bosnia
Bosnia's state prosecution has charged 509 persons with war crimes over the past ten years, 235 of whom were indicted in the last two-and-a-half years, it said in a statement.

The latest wave of refugees in Greece’s neverending story
Another 2,499 refugees arrived aboard the “Eleftherios Venizelos” at the port of Piraeus early on Wednesday. A little later, the “Ariadni” ferry carrying 1,541 passengers arrived, along with a “tera jet” with another 1,703 refugees.
The Greek Coast Guard has rescued at least 303 refugees over the last 24 hours in the sea region of Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Agathonissi and Kos.
Croatia Faces Tight Race in General Election
Croatia is entering one of the shortest election campaigns in its history after President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic on Monday set polling day for November 8.
Now the date of the vote has been confirmed, the parties and independent candidates have 14 days to submit their applications to the State Electoral Commission, which will accept and publish all valid lists within 48 hours.
New Bulgarian Ombudsman to Swear Oath in Parliament
The new Bulgarian ombudsman, Socialist MP Maya Manolova, will swear an oath in parliament on Wednesday.
The regular plenary sitting of parliament will begin with depriving Manolova of her powers as MP, Darik radio informs.
Parliament elected her as the new ombudsman at a secret ballot on July 30 in competition with the incumbent holder of the position - Konstantin Penchev.

New austerity measures worth 6.5 bln euros need to be gathered by the end of 2016, according to the draft budget for Greece. The government is waiting to see how much money will be squeezed from newly imposed agricultural taxes and from the abolition of the 800-euro/month non-taxable income threshold.
