Over 1,000 coronavirus cases Monday as downward trend preserved
Ljubljana – Slovenia recorded 1,037 new coronavirus cases on Monday as the slow decline in the curve of infections continues, data from the National Institute of Public Health shows. Nine Covid-19 patients died.

Number of confirmed coronavirus cases tops 1,000 on Friday
Ljubljana – Slovenia’s daily coronavirus count increased to 1,005 on Friday after it dropped below 1,000 on Thursday, to 941, after hoovering considerably over 1,000 three consecutive days. Yesterday’s figure is meanwhile over 19% below that from a week ago. The number of hospitalisations dropped below 400 this morning.
Coronavirus infection rate keeps receding
Ljubljana – Slovenia’s daily coronavirus count has declined week-on-week for the fourth straight day as 941 new infections were confirmed on Thursday, down almost 18% from the same day a week ago. However, hospitalisations keep increasing and five more patients died.

Janša critical of preparedness for Covid-19 before govt took over
Ljubljana – Prime Minister Janez Janša appeared on Friday at the session of the parliamentary inquiry commission dealing with the government’s response to the Covid-19 epidemic. He was critical in his testimony of the preparedness of the public health authorities and noted the systemic problems in elderly care inherited by his government.

More than a third (35.5%) of the total cases of COVID-19 were registered, in the week of September 13-19, in Bucharest and in the counties of Timis (northwest of Bucharest), Cluj (northwest of Bucharest), Ilfov (surrounding Bucharest) and Iasi (northeast of Bucharest), informed, on Thursday, the National Institute of Public Health (INSP).

Prime Minister Florin Citu announced on Wednesday that a decision was made to start administering the third dose, starting with September 28, for all persons who have more than 6 months after the second dose, with any of the Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna and Astra Zeneca vaccines.
Almost 1,190 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday, ten deaths
Ljubljana – A total of 1,186 PCR tests returned positive on Tuesday or 20% of all tests, the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) said on Wednesday. The number of active cases in the country is estimated at 13,743. The number of patients in hospitals was up further, and ten Covid-19 patients died, the government said.
Over 1,300 new coronavirus infections in Slovenia on Monday
Ljubljana – The number of positive coronavirus tests totalled 1,308 in Slovenia on Monday, according to the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), in what is a slight drop from a week ago. The number of patients in hospitals was up further as ICU cases exceeded 100 for the first time since May. Three new deaths were reported.
291 new coronavirus cases reported for Sunday, five deaths
Ljubljana – Slovenia recorded another 291 coronavirus cases on Sunday, nine more than the same day a week ago. Hospital figures remained stable with Covid tracker site showing another five people died.
The National Institute of Public Health estimates there are now 13,211 active cases in the country.
