Saatchi & Saatchi, B92 Fund finalists of New York festival

BELGRADE -- Saatchi & Saatchi and the B92 Fund are finalists of this year's prestigious New York Festivals World’s Best Advertising in five categories with two entries.

The viral video against domestic violence "One Photo a Day in the Worst Year of my Life," and the project ''A Chronicle of Threats" - a part of a campaign against threats and violence against journalists - entered the final selection, which includes only ten percent of all entries.

The viral video testifies to the burning problems of the society that requires an urgent solution, and had spread at an incredible speed through social networks, at the same time attracting the attention of "the traditional media."

The second entry is a project initiated by the Commission for Investigating Murders of Journalists and the OSCE Office on Media Freedom, with the aim of stimulating a public debate and defining the methods of effective protection of journalists who are daily exposed to various forms of discrimination, aggression and violence on an almost daily basis.

The decision on this year's winners will be made by a jury of 30 executive creative director of advertising agencies from all over the world.

New York Festivals World’s Best Advertising represents an insight into the trends and developments in the global advertising scene, awarding prizes in all relevant categories. This year, the trophies’ design was created by Stefan Sagmeister and Jessica Walsh from the renowned Sagmeister & Walsh design firm.
