Topless activists drink ouzo, dance outside Bundestag for Greece “ja”! (watch video)

Three activists, former members of the shock protest group Femen, protested topless on Friday in Berlin outside the Bundestag in favor of Greece, at the same time that debate on an extension of the Greek program was taking place in the federal legislature.


Drinking ouzo and eating grapes, the trio danced “Syrtaki” along a main boulevard to support Athens during the vote in the Bundestag. The shapely protest-cum “happening” was in answer to a … 1930s style “attack campaign” by the German tabloid Bild. On a day earlier, the tabloid called on Germans to say ‘nein’ to new funding for the “greedy” Greeks.

Bild’s sensationalist tone generated a firestorm of criticism within German society and press groups.


The three women sent their own message to Bundestag — “Ja” written on their bare chests.
