Zvornik attack an attack on stability of entire region

DRVAR - The recent terrorist attack in Zvornik is an attack on the stability of the entire region because it is a system of communicating vessels, Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday.

This is not just about the great grief over the loss of life, this is also about the fact that it is not only an attack on the institutions of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole, but also an attack on the stability of the entire region, because it is a system of communicating vessels, Dacic said in Drvar, where, in his capacity as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, he attended the opening of an OSCE office.

The issue of radicalisation of extremism and terrorism in every way - regardless of whether fighters from the region are departing for combat in Syria, Iraq or other theatres of war such as Ukraine - can certainly not contribute to a peaceful life of the citizens, Dacic warned.

For that reason, it is very important that we continue the cooperation in the political sense, but also that security structures cooperate and exchange information to make it possible for us to confront all this more successfully, Dacic noted.
