Turkish cabinet approves the opening of air bases to US-led coalition

The Turkish cabinet has approved the opening of its Incirlik air base to the U.S.-led coalition against Islamic State militants, the Turkish foreign ministry said on July 29. 

The agreement only concerns the fight against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and does not include air support to Kurdish fighters in northern Syria, spokesman Tanju Bilgic told reporters in a briefing.
