Election Day in Bulgaria: Exit Polls Show Victory for GERB, Slavi’s Party Outruns BSP

GERB, There Is Such a People, BSP, MRF, Democratic Bulgaria, Stand Up, Mafiosi out, VMRO. Such is the "order of appearance" of the parties and coalitions that will surely enter the new, 45th National Assembly, according to the Gallup exit polls. However, the percentages received mean nothing so far because they are unofficial. Even if confirmed, it is not known what the collaborations in the National Assembly will be and whether new elections will be imminent.

According to Gallup, GERB won the vote by 25.0%. The second political force is the party "There Is Such a People" with 17.1%. The third place the voters gave to BSP - 16.7%. The fourth remain Democratic Bulgaria with 10.5 percent of the vote, and immediately after them ranks MRF with 10.2 percent.

The other formations that hurdle over the 4-% barrier for entering parliament are "Stand up! Mafiosi out!" and VMRO. They have garnered support of 5.0% and 4.7% of voters, according to Gallup's forecast results.

With "I don't support anyone," 2.1% of those who cast their ballots voted.

Turnout is 43.9 per cent, according to Gallup.

According to the initial data of Trend polling agency, Boyko Borissov's party garners the highest support among Bulgarians - 25.1%. Next is BSP with 16.5%. Slavi Trifonov's formation ranks third with 16.2%. Fourth are MRF with 10.0 per cent. The fifth place, according to the exit poll, is for Democratic Bulgaria, which garners 9.4% of the votes. The sixth and seventh political power are "Stand up! Mafiosi out!" and VMRO. They won 4.8% and 4.5%, respectively.

The "I Don't Support Anyone" check box marked 2.2% of the voters.

According to Trend polling agency data, 45.0% of the eligible voters in Bulgaria have gone to the polls.
