Rediscover Bulgaria Photo Exhibition on Lover's Bridge in Sofia

Lover's Bridge next to the National Palace of Culture in Sofia is the venue for the photo exhibition Expedition Rediscover Bulgaria, BNR reports.

This is the 6th such exposition, this featuring 58 photographs of historic landmarks in the country, with authors Tihomira Metodieva, Evgeny Dimitrov, Valentin Zahariev and Ivan Vassilev.

Visitors randomly passing through Kavarna - a town of less than 12,000 inhabitants on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast - are probably amused to see the huge murals of musical rock legends such as Ronny James Dio, Billy Idol, Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister, Deep Purple's Ian Gillan and many others - painted on the walls of the town's typical communist-style blocks of flats.

Portuguese crooner wins Eurovision

Portugal won the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time ever with a melancholy ballad performed by a singer who suffers from a serious heart condition.

The fado-tinged song "Amar Pelos Dois" was performed by 27-year-old Salvador Sobral, who is awaiting a heart transplant. 

Bulgaria's Kristian Kostov 2nd in Eurovision Song Contest

Bulgaria's contestant in this year's Eurovision Song Contet, the youngest participant, 17-year old Kristian Kostov came second with his song Beautiful Mess, Bulgaria's best achievement ever, reported BNR.

Portugal won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Amar Pelos Dois, performed by 27-year old Salvador Sobral, with the highest score from both jury and audience.

Portugal Wins 2017 Eurovision Song

Portugal's Salvador Sobral won the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest narrowly beating Bulgaria and Moldova, a Sputnik correspondent reported from the scene.

​The Eurovision final took place in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev on Saturday night.

The Rock Band MIRY With Concert on May 11

The vocal singer Miryan Kostadinov will be accompanied by the solo guitar of Pitt Borisov. The two musicians are cousins and also very good friends. The energy on the stage will bekept under control by the drummer Vladimir Ivanov.
