Bulgaria's Olympic Champion Boxing Coach Petar Lesov Suspended

Bulgaria's Olympic champion boxing coach Petar Lesov was Monday barred from ringside in the ongoing women's World Championship, while his ward Stanimira Petrova accused judges of "corruption" after a hard-fought pre-quarterfinal loss to India's Sonia Chahal (57kg) here, reports Devdiscourse. 

Goalkeeper Petkov Becomes Bulgaria's Oldest Player in Disappointing 1-1 Draw with Cyprus

Goalkeeper Georgi Petkov became the oldest player to represent Bulgaria after starting their Nations League match against Cyprus on Friday.

Petkov, aged 42 years, eight months and two days, also became the oldest European keeper to play in an international match.

 

Born in 1976, Slavia Sofia's Petkov last played for Bulgaria in a friendly against Switzerland in 2009.

Bulgarian Goalkeeper Dimitar Evtimov Extends Burton Stay

The Bulgarian's form for the Brewers has earned him an international call-up.

Burton have extended Dimitar Evtimov's contract for another two months.
