Greece Submits Revised Reform List to Creditors

Greece submitted on Tuesday a revised list of reforms, which the country has to fulfill in order to be granted further bailout by its international creditors.

This happens a day before Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande, daily Kathimerini reports.

EU officials swiftly dismiss Greek reform offer

European Union officials on Tuesday swiftly dismissed new Greek promises of economic reform, saying the proposals were not enough to unlock funds that Athens urgently needs to avoid defaulting on its debts.

Germany's Schaeuble says no rift with Merkel on Greece

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble on Tuesday denied reports that there was a rift between Chancellor Angela Merkel and himself on Greek debt negotiations.

Greece handed its creditors new proposals on unlocking funds to keep the country from default, with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras offering hope for a deal and warning the cost of failure would be enormous. 

The reform proposals mark a further attempt by Tsipras to compromise with lenders as time runs out to reach a deal to prevent his country going bankrupt. 

Bulgarian Exports to EU, Third Countries Increase in First Quarter of 2015

According to preliminary figures of the National Statistical Institute (NSI), which were released on Tuesday, Bulgarian exports to both the EU and third countries increased, but the country's trade balance remained negative.

Bulgarian exports to the EU in the first quarter of 2015 amounted to BGN 6.9 B, which represented an increase of 12 % compared to the same period last year.

Eurostat: GDP rose by 0.4%, but Greece in recession

Eurostat released its data for the GDP as part of the second estimate for the first quarter of 2015. ManpowerGroup: Cautious optimism for increased employment
