Kenya's Talam and Aiyabei win at Belgrade marathon
BELGRADE -- Kenya's Bernard Kipkorir Talam is the winner of the 27th Belgrade Marathon, which saw participation of over 20,000 runners in the Serbian capital on Sunday.
Talam finished the race in 2:14:35, followed by compatriot Paul Kimeli Samoei, who finished in 2:15:50.
Ivanovic reaches Stuttgart quarterfinals
STUTTGART - Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic is through to quarterfinals at the WTA tournament in Stuttgart, after beating Julia Georges of Germany 2-1, in sets 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 on Thursday.
The Serbian tennis player will next take on the winner of the match between Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova and second-seeded Simona Halep of Romania.
Ivanovic loses to Cirstea, Romania takes lead over Serbia
BUCHAREST - The Romanian national women's tennis team took a 1-0 lead over Serbia on Saturday in a play-off tie for remaining in the Fed Cup World Group II.
Sorana Cirstea secured the point by outplaying Ana Ivanovic 2-1, in sets 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Simona Halep and Bojana Jovanovski will clash in the other singles match on Saturday.
Romania Detains Football Officials Suspected of Fraud
Romania prosecutors on Monday detained the former chairman of the Professional Football League, LPF, and other six others on suspicion of tax evasion and money laundering in a case related to the sale of match rights to television stations.
Former chairman Dumitru Dragomir was taken into custody for 24 hours, with a proposal to extend the arrest over a month more.

BELGRADE - Belgrade's Partizan advanced to the final stage of the European Water Polo Champions League tournament after a Preliminary Rounds Day 8 home win against Romania’s Oradea 9-7 (5-1, 2-1, 1-4, 1-1) late on Wednesday.
Clinching its fifth victory in Group B, Partizan is now tight in third place and has secured its spot in the Final Six.
Serbia defeats Romania in Bucharest, water polo
BUCHAREST - Serbia beat host Romania in a FINA Water Polo World League Preliminaries Round 5 Group A match in Bucharest 7-4 (2-1, 1-0, 1-2, 3-1) late on Tuesday.
This was Serbia's third consecutive win, cementing its top position in the group with nine points ahead of Russia and Romania with three points each.

In the fight for the quarterfinal, Djokovic will cross rackets with Columbia's Alejandro Gonzalez who defeated Ivan Dodig of Croatia, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5).
