Ivanovic reaches Stuttgart quarterfinals

STUTTGART - Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic is through to quarterfinals at the WTA tournament in Stuttgart, after beating Julia Georges of Germany 2-1, in sets 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 on Thursday.

The Serbian tennis player will next take on the winner of the match between Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova and second-seeded Simona Halep of Romania.

Earlier on Thursday, Jelena Jankovic also got into quarterfinals by outplaying Flavia Pennetta of Italy 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
