It is a once-a-lifetime experience to see "Phantom of The Opera" in Broadway or London. But for Istanbul theater-goers, the show is not so far anymore. The Zorlu Performance Center has been hosting the legendary musical for a month and last week the show had a very special guest in the audience.

Turkey's state TV to launch English test broadcast

Turkey?s state-owned television channel TRT has announced that it will soon be starting a closed circuit test broadcast of its English news service, TRT World.

TRT Director General ?enol Göka said the technical infrastructure for TRT World was actually completed by Jan. 15.

Lena Chamamyan coming to Turkey

Syrian singer Lena Chamamyan, one of the most popular performers in the Middle East, will take the stage in Istanbul as part of the 6th Avea concerts. 

The young singer, who is of Armenian descent, blends jazz and traditional Armenian music, and will perform at the Istanbul Congress Center on May 15. 

Kendall Jenner to take Antalya runway

The 20th Dosso Dossi Fashion Show, which will be held between June 8 and 14 in Turkey's southern province of Antalya, will welcome Kendall Jenner, the youngest member of the reality-show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The 19-year-old model Jenner will be on the runway on June 9, presenting four outfits from the Behcetti, Moda Larissa, Icon and Fimore brands.

The remarkable Aspendos aqueducts draw tourists

The aqueducts in the ancient city of Aspendos, located in the southern province of Antalya's Serik district, have witnessed centuries of history.

Censorship claims overshadow Istanbul Film Festival

The 34th Istanbul Film Festival committee announced April 13 that the screening of a majority of films in the National Competition, National Documentary Competition, International Competition, Cinema in Human Rights Competition, Out of Competition, and New Turkish Cinema sections were canceled.
