Turkish President, PM meet Iraqi Kurdish PM
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu hosted Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani in two separate meetings in Istanbul on Dec. 26.
Erdo?an welcomed Barzani at the Mabeyn Mansion in Istanbul's Y?ld?z Palace, where they had a 90-minute closed-door meeting.
Turkish PM cancels constitution dialogue meeting with HDP
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu has canceled a meeting with the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) as part of constitutional talks with all opposition parties in parliament due to recent remarks by the HDP's officials.
A statement released by the Prime Ministry on Dec. 26 said the plan for meetings with all parties was a show of respect for the political choices of all citizens.
Greek rescue guards erect Xmas tree of discarded life jackets
Rescue guards from the island of Lesbos (Mytilene) gathered discarded life jackets thrown aside after migrants perilous journey to Greece from Turkey. They created a special Christmas tree to welcome the refugees at the coast of Neapoli, a southern town of Lesbos, where the gathering of migrants has not abated at all during the Christmas season.
'Turkey-Israel must reconcile in 4 weeks'
"Turkey-Israel relations need to normalize in the upcoming three to four weeks, otherwise the process might collapse again."
These words were uttered by Alon Liel, Israel's former ambassador to Turkey, who I talked to on the phone yesterday. Liel also served as the undersecretary of the Israeli foreign ministry and is still actively following Turkey-Israel relations.

Israel deal would allow Turkish products to enter Gaza easier, says minister
Turkish Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkçi said Dec. 25 that if an agreement with Israel was reached after five years of tense relations, it would allow Turkish products to enter Gaza more easily.
Answering questions at a news conference with members of the Economy Correspondents' Association, Tüfenkçi said Tel Aviv would allow Turkish products to enter Gaza.
