The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has demanded the resignation of the Parliament's president, Dimitar Glavchev.
''The Parliament has not been working for six weeks now because the government and the ruling majority have no programme for governance and legislation'', BSP leader Korneliya Ninova told journalists, quoted by FOCUS News Agency.
Bulgarian Deputy PM Valeri Simeonov will sue Sega newspaper for publishing false information. This became known during an extraordinary briefing at the Burgas Regional Administration, FOCUS Radio - Burgas reported.
Simeonov stated that the newspaper was spreading negative propaganda against him, manipulating an interview with him.
''The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will not split because of Georgi Gergov's resignation'', said the party leader Kornelia Ninova, according to Focus News Agency.
''The decision was taken at a National Council meeting after Gergov had tendered his resignation and BSP considers the matter closed'', she added.
The Bulgarian head of state urged political parties to have a responsible and constructive attitude at the National Assembly, and to unite on topics important to society. President Rumen Radev started consultations for handing the mandate to form a government, the press secretariat of the head of state announced, quoted by Focus News Agency.
