NBS opens for visitors on Saturday

BELGRADE - The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) will open its door on Saturday, April 5, to all visitors who want to tour the building - which is a cultural monument - and see the exhibitions dedicated to money.

During the “Open Door Day” event, organized by NBS for the third time, the visitors will be welcome to tour the building between 10 and 18h and visit the exhibition space, showcasing items on permanent display in the exhibition “Money in the Territory of Serbia” as well as special exhibitions “Dinar - our money” and “Coins of Serbia”.

The NBS building, constructed in 1890 in the Neo-Renaissance style, was designed by renowned architect Konstantin Jovanovic. Due to its distinctive style, the edifice was named a monument of culture under state protection.

Each visitor will also receive a little souvenir - a novelty banknote featuring their own portrait, NBS said in a release.

Admission is free of charge.
