Dacic, Austrians discuss experiences in social partnership

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and members of the collegium of the Social and Economic Council (SES) conferred with the delegation of social partners from Austria who voiced their experiences concerning well-developed social partnership.

According to the release issued by SES, the partnership played the key role both in the development of all social segments and it also considerably helped Austria in its preparations for EU accession.

The meeting was also attended by Austrian Ambassador in Belgrade Johannes Eigner and the SES release states that the visit constitutes an introduction into future cooperation between institutions of social dialogue in Austria and Serbia and the dialogue among sectors which will include the associations of employees and employers.

During its stay in Belgrade in the course of several days, the delegation of social partners from Austria will confer with representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy, leadership of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, heads of the Association of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia, United Branch Trade Unions Independence and Employers' Association of Serbia.
