Schroeder to visit Belgrade on Thursday

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will confer with former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder in Belgrade on Thursday.

Vucic and Schroeder will discuss deepening of cooperation and improvement of bilateral relations. The meeting will take place in the Serbia-Germany Forum Association.

After the meeting, Vucic as the honorary member of the Association and Schroeder as its honorary guest will attend the official opening of the Serbia-Germany Forum Association.

According to previous announcements voiced by the Forum, the newly-founded association will focus on the perspectives of economic and political cooperation between the two countries.

Schroeder holds office as the chair of board in the Nord Stream AD which owns the Nord Stream pipeline.

Since 2006, Schroeder has been active in the Rothschild Group as the advisor for operation in Eastern Europe, Russia, China and Turkey.

Schroeder held office as the German chancellor in the period from 1998 to 2005.
