DSS vice-president named lifelong honorary member of PACE

BELGRADE -- Vice-President of the DSS party Miloš Aligrudić was presented with a medal and a diploma of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

This came in recognition of ten years of representing Serbia in this international institution, Tanjug reported.

Aligrudić was also honored for his successful performance in the position of PACE Vice-President, the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) said, and added that he was thus granted the status of lifelong honorary member of this institution.

The awards were presented by PACE President Anne Brasseur.

"This is not only an award for a long-term and strong commitment to duties of an MP, but also another proof that respect and international recognition can be achieved even when openly defending the interests of Serbia in international institutions," the statement said.
