Stefanovic: MUP cooperates with EULEX regarding arrest

BELGRADE - Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said Friday that the Ministry of Interior (MUP) was cooperating with EULEX regarding today's arrest of a Serbian citizen in Pristina, adding that a warrant had been issued to search the arrestee's apartment.

Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs Skender Hiseni said earlier today that a Serb, S.G. (46), from Belgrade, had been arrested after 13 kilograms of explosive devices had been found in his vehicle, adding that that the man was suspected of preparing a terrorist act.

Stefanovic said in a statement to Tanjug that the MUP was cooperating with EULEX and had supplied all the information they had asked for, including about the suspect's movement.
"We have supplied all the information that EULEX demanded of us, which concern the suspect's movement. A warrant has been issued to search his apartment, after which we will see if perhaps there is more relevant evidence which could prove useful in the investigation," he said.

We will continue cooperating with EULEX until the circumstances in this case have been resolved, Stefanovic said.
